There were talks of it during the promotions of Tiger Zinda Hai and speculations were rife that the jodi of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif will be repeated in Bharat. She was hoping to get Rs 12 crore. Katrina Kaif trended over the weekend as the Internet's choice for Priyanka's replacement in Bharat, which is produced by Salman's brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri.

Ali told Mirror, "I am extremely excited to work with Katrina and Salman again". We have had exciting collaborations in the past and it is very interesting to work with the duo once again. Director Ali Abbas Zafar took to Twitter to announce her exit with an unbelievable play of words. "It is very delightful to work with the immensely talented actress yet again", the director said in a statement. He indirectly cited the reason as PC's engagement with Nick Jonas and promptly got Katrina Kaif on board opposite Salman Khan.

She will be joining the shoot in the upcoming schedule beginning in September. Salman Khan plays the role of a daredevil stunt artiste in the circus, a glimpse of which was shared by Ali Abbas Zafar recently. Today, Salman took to his social media and posted a picture of the actress to welcome her to Team Bharat. Salman Khan will be recreating his "Karan-Arjun" look which has created vast excitement amongst the audience.

"Bharat" is set to have a character-driven story spanning many time periods and will be shot across locations in Abu Dhabi and Spain, besides Punjab and Delhi in India. The film is set to release in January 2019.
