It is also one of the biggest asset that Warner Bros is getting ready to showcase at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday.

In his second appearance in the DCEU, Jason Momoa's Aquaman finally takes on a leading role in his own film, which Warner Bros. hopes will rekindle fan excitement after the disappointing critical reception and box office performance of last year's Justice League. There, the studio is expected to launch sneak peeks at the studio's next crop of DC Extended Universe films with Wonder Woman 1984, Shazam! and, of course, the highly-anticipated Aquaman.

To promote the James Wan-directed Aquaman, and specifically the Aquaman trailer, the Game of Thrones star jumped off a cliff in Hawaii and uploaded the footage to Instagram.

Pictures and director James Wan comes an action-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas. They come in the form of his partner Mera (Amber Heard), his mother Queen Atlanna (Nicole Kidman), Ocean Master Orm (Patrick Wilson), and his foe Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II).

The film, which also stars Willem Dafoe and Nicole Kidman, swims into theaters on December 21.

It tells the origin story of Aquaman - a half human, half-Atlantean named Arthur Curry (Momoa).
