"After I did 'Fernando, ' I thought it would be really fun to do an album of Abba songs, so I did", Cher said on the NBC television daytime show "Today".

Cher revealed the fact that she has recorded a new album including her interpretation of the most popular ABBA songs.
Speaking with TODAY about the movie (via Rolling Stone), Cher revealed that she enjoyed singing the classic disco pop music so much that she made a decision to put he own touch on more of the material.
Cher stars as the mother of the character played by Meryl Streep in the sequel, despite being just three years her junior.
"It's not what you think of when you think Abba, because I did it in a different way".
The actress confided, "I assume everyone's in love with Tommy because I'm in love with him".
"Singing the song My Love, My Life was the most emotional thing for me, and my favourite moment", Seyfried previously declared.
While Cher is now 72, she still performs live and appears in concert residencies in Las Vegas and Washington DC in 2018.
Even after their real-life breakup, they stayed friends, good friends, as Seyfried said in a 2013 interview.
