British royals release new photos to mark Prince Louis’s christening

The Duchess of Cambridge also appeared a blissful mother in a portrait shot, as she cradled the prince in her arms.

The Prince's godparents were also announced the morning of his christening as Nicholas van Cutsem, Guy Pelly, Harry Aubrey-Fletcher, Lady Laura Meade, Robert Carter and Lucy Middleton.

Members of the royal family, including the newlywed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, along with Prince George and Princess Charlotte, gathered at Clarence House for a private afternoon ceremony last Monday.

The new picture taken by Matt Porteous was released on social media at 10am today, almost 12 hours after Kensington Palace put out another four shots by Matt Holyoak from the day last night.

The Mirror reports the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge hired two different photographers to capture their son's christening: Matt Holyoak, who took the official portraits, and Matt Porteous, who captured the fifth photo.

Following the christening, the British Royal Family released a series of photos from the big day.

And given Natasha's position among Kate's most trusted members of staff, the couple are familiar faces in and around Kensington Palace.

Photographer Matt Holyoak captured the special moments at Clarence House after the christening. The gown is based off the one Queen Victoria had made for her daughter's christening in 1841.

George and Charlotte are his older brother and sister.
