Stormy Daniels Poses for Glamorous Mugshot Following Arrest at Ohio Strip Club

Stormy Daniels arrested after strip club performance in Ohio lawyer

Adult film actress Stormy Daniels has reportedly been arrested in Ohio

Stormy Daniels has been arrested in OH while performing a strip show at Sirens Gentleman's Club in Columbus.

Lawyer Michael Avenatti blasted the arrest as a "politically motivated sting". She is facing three counts of "Illegally Operating Sexually Oriented Business - Employee Knowingly Touch Any Patron", according to online court records.

Porn star Stormy Daniels returned to the stripper's pole early Friday in OH with a clear message: No touching this time!

While Daniels was performing Wednesday night at Sirens, a strip club in Columbus, some patrons touched her in a "non-sexual" way, her lawyer, Michael Avenatti, told The Associated Press. He vowed to fight the "bogus charges", even suggesting there are "higher priorities" at stake for the police. Per Ohio law, only family members are allowed to touch a nude or semi-nude dancer.

The court papers said "no evidence" was provided that Daniels "appears or has appeared regularly at Sirens".

According to a Columbus Police report shared by a Fox affiliate in Cleveland, Daniels went on the club's main stage at 11:30 p.m. for a performance. This was a setup & politically motivated. "I think it's an absurd use of law enforcement resources".

Avenatti said in a later tweet that he expects Daniels to be released on bail "shortly" and charged with a misdemeanor for "touching". "During her performance, a couple female undercover officers asked her if they could place their faces in between her breasts".

A spokesperson for the Franklin County Sheriff's Department told CBS as of early Thursday morning, Daniels was not being held there.

Representatives for the Columbus Division of Police did not immediately respond to ABC News' request for comment. Now, she has spoken out for the first time in a statement through her lawyer.

Daniels has said Trump's personal attorney Michael Cohen paid her the $130,000.

Daniels, 39, has filed two civil lawsuits against Trump, with whom she said she had a sexual encounter in 2006, a decade before he was elected president.

Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, is in the middle of a scandal that some say could topple the USA president.

Daniels has been the focus of global headlines since it was revealed she received a pre-election payoff meant to buy her silence related to an alleged affair with Trump.
