Rangers hopeful of signing Umar Sadiq before Europa League clash

In a bid to add strength to his team next season, Glasgow Rangers' Manager, Steven Gerrard remains hopeful a deal to sign Nigerian striker Umar Sadiq can be completed soonest, AOIFootball.com reports.

Umar Sadiq has signed a season-long loan deal with Rangers.

The 21-year-old has had spells at Bologna, Torino and NAC Breda in recent years and will leave the Stadio Olimpico on a temporary basis once again to join the Light Blues' attack this term.

The new Rangers boss Steven Gerrard earlier admitted that he wants to bring the Olympics Bronze medalist to the Ibrox Stadium. I got a phone call from my agent and he told me about Rangers and I said let's see what happens.
