Cleveland Browns: Adding another corner in the Supplemental Draft?

Western Michigan cornerback Sam Beal could be a player selected in the 2018 Supplemental Draft

Panthers pass on 2018 supplemental draft class

The most decorated player to come out of the Supplemental Draft, however, is probably Cris Carter, the former Ohio State receiver who started out with the Eagles but became a star in Minnesota. He had considered entering the 2018 NFL Draft and garnered interest. And given that he will be so far behind all the other rookies coming in this late stage in the process as well as the upgrade in talent, Beal would likely be taking a redshirt year for the Browns while being on the active roster. Alexander was poised to return for his senior season but elected to leave school after being declared academically ineligible for the 2018 season. There have not been many players selected in the supplemental draft in recent years that have been highly impactful National Football League players, though players like Terrelle Pryor and Josh Gordon have had varying levels of success.

At least two national experts don't expect the Lions to participate in the draft.

What's more, the Chiefs could be a team in action here.

Matt Miller of Bleacher Report says help might be on the way, however, in the form of a rare asset: a useful pick in the NFL's supplemental draft.

With the selection of Beal, the Giants will forfeit their third-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, leaving them with five total picks. Teams don't have to submit bids.

Djokovic into Wimbledon semi-final, blasts unnecessary warnings
Not just an experience, but a challenge that I've set for myself. "I feel like I'm peaking at the right moment". The final last-eight clash is unlikely to feature too many rallies, with John Isner taking on Milos Raonic.

A 6-1, 177-pounder, Beal played three seasons at Western Michigan. For example, he made several plays on the ball against Central Michigan, but he also had multiple opportunities to make an interception and he failed to do so. Each group has its own lottery drawing to determine the order, which is decided shortly before the supplemental draft starts. It's not known whether Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins' recent incident involving an acquaintance who was murdered at his residence - Jenkins' brother has been charged with manslaughter - had any bearing on the Beal selection. The Broncos are in the first tier of teams having finished past year as the fifth-worst team in the entire league. The Houston Texans should bid a second-round pick on him.

He had 19 pass breakups in his Western Michigan career, though only two interceptions.

- What really matters: Alexander had a marijuana-related incident as a freshman and again was suspended in the early part of 2018. Mississippi State safety Brandon Bryant could join them. The Washington Redskins also selected Virginia Tech Hokies cornerback Adonis Alexander, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Beal is a long corner with good speed - he ran a 4.4 40-yard-dash - but needs to refine his technique, especially when it comes to tackling.

As for Beal the player, he's a talented cover corner. I don't think he gets out of Round 5. He made a decision to return to school, but at the start of spring practice he was suspended indefinitely, and later declared for the Supplemental Draft. There will be questions about whether he's dynamic enough to overcome his lack of size, questions he won't be able to definitively answer without a pre-draft workout.
