World's Ugliest Dog Zsa Zsa Passes Away

English bulldog Zsa Zsa dies just weeks after being named World's Ugliest Dog

Zsa Zsa an English Bulldog won the World's Ugliest Dog Contest in Petaluma Calif. on June 23 but the glory was short-lived

Facebook Zsa Zsa, the World's Ugliest Dog, tragically passed away just days after winning her esteemed title, her devastated owner confirmed Tuesday afternoon.

Zsa Zsa spent her first five years of life in a puppy mill in Missouri before she was saved by Underdog Rescue.

Zsa Zsa won the 2018 World's Ugliest Dog contest at the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds in Petaluma, Calif., on June 23. "I'm still in shock".

The nine-year-old English Bulldog was unique because of her long tongue, underbite and rounded front legs. "It's been two weeks and I still don't believe it", Brainard told the TV show. "It's probably going to be the same with her passing".

Klopp, meanwhile, remains keen to add at least one more attacking midfielder to his squad this summer. His side take on League Two outfit Bury on Saturday before a midweek game against Blackburn Rovers.

She was laid to rest by owners Megan and Jesse Brainard and 15-month-old daughter Mareslie at the family home. "We were all saying our goodbyes".

Brainard said she named the pooch after Hungarian actress Zsa Zsa Gabor because she liked to lie on the couch "like a handsome model".

Zsa Zsa was up for the title of Ugliest Dog against some fierce competition: a blackhead-covered Chinese Crested-Dachshund mutt, a bulldog mix with excess wrinkly skin and a Pekingese named Wild Thang.

"She knew she was special", Brainard told the Today show. She said her family held a small memorial for the pooch, known to love Slim Jims and burritos from the Mexican fast-food chain Chipotle.
