But the 29-year-old, who was been one of Croatia's standout performers at this summer's tournament, has stressed that previous encounters with Kane have no bearing on the result of Wednesday's fixture in Moscow.
Croatia, though, must not be taken lightly.
Croatia were defeated by hosts France back in 1998, meaning they have never reached a World Cup Final, while the Three Lions have only reached the Final once before, when they lifted their sole World Cup Trophy more than half-a-century ago - on home soil in 1966.

"You can see that togetherness on the pitch now, and I think that's valuable in crucial moments in big games, and yeah, I can definitely say this is most together England team that I've been involved in, and so I think that makes a massive difference and you get your rewards for that".
