Juventus delete 'Number 7' post after it sparks Ronaldo move

Shares of Italy's most successful, best-known soccer team, Juventus, surged on Tuesday after it was confirmed that the side has signed Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo for around 100 million euros ($117 million).

New Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper, Gianluigi Buffon, has said it wouldn't surprise him to see Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo join Juventus this summer.

A reported fee of €100million could see the five-time Ballon d'Or victor swap LaLiga for Serie A, and Trezeguet would be delighted to see him at Juve.

According to reports from renowned European websites, Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes met the Serie A club's officials in Greece and the announcement is expected to be made as soon as Tuesday night or Wednesday early morning.

After joining Madrid in 2009 for a then world-record £80million fee, Ronaldo now appears close to joining Juventus in an £88million deal.

Ronaldo, Madrid's all-time top goal scorer, has won the trophy four times during his nine years at the Bernabeu. In total he won 16 trophies, among them four Champions League titles, three of them won consecutively and four over the last five seasons.
