The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, tweeted Monday that he was "delighted" to be christening the third child of Prince William and Catherine. On Monday just before the christening, the palace confirmed that the gown would be worn by Louis once more to continue the royal tradition.
In keeping with royal tradition, the water used for Louis' christening had been sourced from the River Jordan.
Notably absent from the event were the Queen and Prince Philip.
Eight boys rescued from cave in northern Thailand
On July 4, Thai navy SEALS released video of the boys who appeared to be in good spirits despite the harrowing conditions. Four more boys were rescued overnight after the first four emerged yesterday.

"She loved all the old classics and Harry had the brilliant idea of starting a little library of first editions for Louis, [big sister Princess] Charlotte and [big brother Prince] George to enjoy as they get older", a friend told the tabloid.

Eleven-week-old Louis was dressed in the cream, frilly lace royal christening gown, a replica of the intricate robe made for Queen Victoria's eldest daughter in 1841.

Queen Victoria married Prince Albert on the very steps of the palace in 1840, while Queen Elizabeth I is also known to have resided at the palace on several occasions.
They include Kate's cousin Lucy Middleton, Nicholas van Cutsem, whose daughter was a bridesmaid at May's wedding of Harry and Meghan, and Guy Pelly, a childhood friend of William's. His grandparents, Prince Charles and Camilla, were in attendance, as well as his uncle and aunt, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
