IHOP may now be in the burger business, but it hasn't abandoned its pancakes and plans to offer a sweet deal for one day only.
The company announced a name change in June, which sparked a flood of social media attention, mostly making fun of the stunt. "We'd never turn our back on pancakes (except for that time we faked it to promote our new burgers)".
Lando Calrissian Will Return For STAR WARS: EPISODE IX
Star Wars: Episode IX will be produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Abrams, Bad Robot, and Lucasfilm . Previously set for a May 24, 2019 release date, the film will now arrive on December 20, 2019.
The tweet from "IHOP" also poked fun of itself for changing to "IHOB", saying "That's right, IHOP! And it worked. Look at us, two silly pancakes talkin' about burgers".
While the change got plenty of hype online, and resulted in brick-and-mortar locations swapping out their signage in favor of the new brand name for the ubiquitous diner chain, it was not meant to last long. "They're still there. They're on the cover of the menu", Rebelez said. That's what we're after: "giving more people more reasons to come to IHOP more often".
