Neither actor has suddenly become vain and made a decision to add a lot of visual effects make-up for the movie, the trickery is instead because they're playing Nick Fury and Agent Phil Coulson in the 1990s, when Captain Marvel is set. July 6 was reportedly the final day of filming.

Star Brie Larson has confirmed via her Twitter that Marvel Studios' upcoming Captain Marvel movie has completed principal photography, and you can check out the photo marking the occasion in the gallery below!

The image is of a signed Captain Marvel clapperboard atop a calendar with days throughout the month of June and July crossed out, and the word "HOME" written by the date of July 7th. "So if you can find any Easter eggs in there, more power to you". The film will be set in the '90s and follow Carol Danvers, an Air Force pilot who becomes a superhero after an alien's DNA is fused with her own.

Filming was directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck of Ryan Gosling schoolteacher drama "Half Nelson" and the Ryan Reynolds and Ben Mendelsohn gambling movie "Mississippi Grind".
