Avalanche Studios, the developers of Just Cause series and theHunter, have announced a new game called Generation Zero. "We can't wait to bring the game's tense open-world exploration and adrenaline pumping tactical action to players everywhere".
The game will also utilize a 1980's synth-style soundtrack to bolster its open-world guerrilla combat, taking cues from TV shows like Stranger Things and films like Red Dawn. Strategizing is key, and guerilla tactics encouraged to "lure, cripple, or destroy enemies in intense, creative sandbox skirmishes". A tweet from Avalanche Studio founder Christian Sundberg stated that the game would be revealed today, and heavily implies we'll see more at E3 next week.
In development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, Generation Zero represents Avalanche Studios foray into self-publishing, and is now slated to release sometime next year, 2019.

1-4 Player Seamless Multiplayer.Go it alone, or team-up with up to three of your friends in seamless co-op multiplayer. You'll be able to support downed friends by reviving them and of course, share in the loot once an enemy has been toppled.
All enemies are persistently simulated in the world, and roam the landscape with intent and objective. The good news is, once you destroy or injure an enemy, it's permanent. In Generation Zero, living is winning. That means you can come back minutes, hours or even weeks later and the enemy will still bear its battle scars.
